Social media burnout is real. The pressure to constantly create, post, and engage can quickly become overwhelming for small business owners already wearing multiple hats.
Batch creation saves sanity. Set aside 2-3 hours monthly to create all your content at once. Film 12 Reels in one afternoon, write 15 captions in one sitting, and schedule everything. This prevents the daily "what should I post?" stress.
Repurpose ruthlessly. One blog post becomes: an Instagram carousel, three separate single-image posts, a Reel, multiple Stories, and LinkedIn post. Every piece of content should have 5-7 lives across platforms and formats.
Set boundaries with engagement. Designate specific times to respond to comments and messages - morning and evening, for example. Constant social media checking during work hours kills productivity and mental health.
Use templates for repetitive content. Create Canva templates for common post types: quotes, tips, behind-the-scenes, promotions. Templates make creation 10x faster while maintaining brand consistency.
It's okay to take breaks. Disappearing for 2 weeks tanks your account. But taking weekends off or posting 3x instead of 5x during busy periods? Your audience won't abandon you. Consistency means regular, not constant.
Consider delegation. Even getting help with just scheduling or responding to comments can dramatically reduce your mental load. Your time is valuable - protect it.
